Getting Judgey at Vancouver Startup Weekend

Yes, it’s a legitimate excuse for me to judge people! For the second year in a row the organizers of Startup Weekend Vancouver (sponsored by the ever-awesome Kauffman Foundation) and specifically James Karg have asked me to be one of the judges for their Dragon’s Den-style event. By the time the judges see the presentations most of the teams have gone at least two days without sleep, and all I can say is that last year they blew me away with the quality of the ideas they had and the presentations they made. At least one of the products from last year is now a commercial product, and apparently quite a successful one. I can’t wait to see what this year’s competition brings.

Also, dammit, next year I compete!

Deets: Friday, November 18th-Sunday, November 20th, venue to be decided.
