Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Information, located within the UCD School of Information and Library Studies (SILS). We are looking for two candidates to contribute significantly to research in one or more of the following areas:
health information, metadata & classification, information design, social computing, digital youth, management in information organizations, information retrieval, digital libraries,  information architecture, information literacy, and/or related topics regarding the interplay of people, information, technology and social structures.

The successful candidates will have a commitment to high quality teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels and be able to teach a range of courses in areas relevant to the school?s educational programmes.  S/he will have a strong, demonstrable commitment to innovative research, as well a proven track record of high quality research productivity and impact.  The capacity to work in an interdisciplinary context whilst collaborating within the School and the wider academic community is also essential.

S/he will also be required to participate effectively in the School?s graduate and undergraduate programmes and to contribute to the academic life of the School, College and University.
