Let’s be honest: affirmations are foofy, West Coast mantras that make people nervous. But they just might work.
Give them a go and see if they work for you, foofy or not. After all, your bathroom mirror won’t tell on you.
Recite the affirmation that you prefer to yourself in the mirror each morning, before you’ve had your coffee, before you’re dressed, before you’re 100% awake. The idea is to work these thoughts into your subsconscious, where they will work around the clock to help you work your way towards wholeness.
Borrowed from the very interesting Believe in Change blog right here on WordPress, who got them from Greg Carroll. Read the rest (of the MANY) on their blog. And they have more about the whole psych/sci/why/wherefore behind affirmations here.

I’m sure if I’d seen more movies that would make sense, but as things stand, it actually does not. Care to explicate?
